24 Hour DanceIn November 2015 dancers had just one day to create a brand new dance from scratch, to perform in a unique, one-off show at West Road Concert Hall. 24 hours before the performance began, the theme was announced - The Art of Dance. Each group of dancers was given a picture from the Fitzwilliam museum to inspire them, and they rose to the challenge with aplomb, working late in to the night to choreograph their new dances. The result was a stunning showcase of the best of Cambridge dance talent, ranging from hip-hop to ballet, and from tap to contemporary. The dancers were accompanied by live pianists to create a performance that no-one will forget in a hurry. The 24 Hour Dance was a new venture for the Cambridge University Ballet Club, and the hard work from all the organisers, choreographers and dancers definitely paid off!
